IFS is a 3-credit hour, three-week program that occurs just before fall semester, designed especially for incoming freshmen, and incorporates the best of what IU has to offer. Take a look through the information we provide, and learn more about what makes IFS such a powerful experience (as Jennifer describes above). You’ll find that our program is much more than great classes and amazing professors, it’s a combination of new friends, challenging material, and the opportunity to get a handle on the new freedom that comes with being a successful college student. IFS is college at its best; as you read further, we think you’ll agree.
For specific dates, costs, schedules, and FAQ’s use the Program Details option; for individual course descriptions, information about our professors, and enrollment use the Courses, Professors and Enrollment option; and for information about life during IFS, activities and events, and photos use the Life at IFS option. Perhaps most interesting – check out what the students actually have to say about IFS with the “Student Quotes” option.
