International students arrive to IFS housing. Students may check into their IFS room at any time on this day and will attend a welcome dinner that evening.
Move-in for remaining IFS students begins at 10:00am and ends at 2:00pm. At this time, students receive their room and roommate assignment. Following check-in, students meet with their IFS professor at 4:00pm. IFS participants will receive detailed instructions for this process in their IU email.
IFS courses begin on Monday morning. IFS interns meet their class at a designated location, attend breakfast with the students, and walk them to their first full day of class.
All IFS participants move from IFS housing into their fall semester residence halls. The IFS office arranges moving trucks and movers to assist with this process. Detailed instructions will be given to all students during IFS.
The last day of IFS consists of an Academic Forum and a Closing Reception. Students present research and analysis from their IFS studies and engage with other classes. Afterward all IFS staff, faculty, and students attend a Closing Reception with food, beverages, and entertainment.
