Take advantage of everything Indiana University has to offer with the collaboration between the Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience (ASURE) and the Intensive Freshman Seminars programs. As an ASURE student, you may be eligible to participate in IFS courses designed with you and your ASURE requirements in mind. ASURE students who participate in IFS have the opportunity to complete one ASURE course by August 18th.
Get started at IU as an ASURE student with IFS
Meet your scholar community
ASURE students at IFS will have the unique opportunity to prepare for and transition to college life and college-level work before their fall semester coursework begins; create a support system of friends, faculty, and peer mentors; develop a sense of community with other ASURE students; and take a three credit hour class with one of IU’s leading faculty members. You'll have all of these experiences and more as you take advantage of the combined resources of the IFS and ASURE programs.
The collaboration between ASURE and IFS offers incoming ASURE students the choice of unique courses. Each course has been designed by top faculty members with the success of ASURE students in mind. Because IFS classes are small, ASURE students have the unique opportunity to work individually with their professor, make personal relationships with faculty, connect with other ASURE students, and learn more about campus resources before the fall semester begins.
